Update...

Okay, I know I haven't been posting much. Last time I was posting, I was showing you HUGE messes. Well, they are getting tackled finally!!! Not only is pick up happening, AGAIN AND AGAIN, but ORGANIZING is occurring! I can't wait to show you my school/game room!! But, the reason all of these have been slow going in the first place is that they are all dependant on the other. My closet, for example is crucial for the game room to be completed. I haven't even unpacked my closet and moved in yet! We are still in boxes in parts of our house! So, I am plowing through these jobs with encouraging success. The good thing is, is that when this monster project of 3 closets and two rooms is completed, our WHOLE house will be organized and everything will have a place!!! I am so excited to have this finally done!

I am using my friend, Stephanie's, visit to motivate me. So, I hope to have all of this done and pictures posted before she arrives on Jan. 20th. See you then!

Finally, one success!!!!! Presenting....

the laundry room/pantry!!!!!!!!!!! It feels so much better to be able to walk in here and find what I need. This is definitely a room that requires organization. Cooking and laundry take up A LOT of my time.
(I actually have the other areas done as well, but no pictures yet. I will post them tomorrow.)

more

All the pictures wouldn't fit on my last post. Those were of the pantry, the master bedroom is here. PLEASE read the post below for my defense of the master.

As you can see, I need a lot of prayer this week. (There is even a field trip for one of the three days I have to do this. AHHHHH!!!!)

Here is my filth

These are places I swore to myself I would not show you. No guest coming into my house is permitted behind these doors. Please be kind. Part of the problem is that we just moved and these areas never got attention. Part of the problem, in our room, is that I did A LOT of laundry, put it all on our bed, and then it all got thrown off by my blessings. Since rewashing and/or folding all these clothes is now part of cleaning our room, I went ahead and took the scary awful pictures. Grace, my friends, grace.

I don't know when exactly this will all be done. My first goal is for the school room, pantry, and master bedroom to LOOK decent and presentable. This is my goal for this Friday when my mother-in-law comes in. I will post more before and after pictures to get it totally organized the way I want it.

Still working...

Okay, I realize that I missed my deadline. When I set that date, I didn't realize that I would be out of town for a week of my time. So, I am giving myself another few days. My mother-in-law comes in Friday. My new goal is to have it done by the time I come to co-op on Friday. (We will see. I also have the rest of the house as a goal by then, too. I know, I know it's way too much.)

I will post some other before pictures so I can show you the difference later.

The School Room

Okay, this is my current school room. In my defense, CJ was just over and together we looked through my entire book collection to weed out the ones I didn't need. That put a lot of the books on the floor until I can do something with them. I told you that I wouldn't do anything in the room before I took the pictures, so I stayed true to my word. I have a lot to do to get this room TRULY organized and very functional. Today is Thursday, September 25th. I pledge to you that I will post pictures of this job completed by Saturday, October 4th. That gives me just over a week.
